More Snow-Biking!

Hope you’re not getting tired of seeing snow-biking pictures, because we just got another 6 inches of white stuff dumped on us, so it’ll be around for awhile.

Given the snowfall in the forecast, I took another opportunity to get out and ride while the snow was coming down. I timed it right, and got in a short ride to Lone Elm Park before the roads got too bad.

The Lone Elm trails, which were so nice the last time I’d ridden through, were a little rough. We’d had one day of above-freezing temps, which allowed the top of the snow to turn crusty. Plus, several people had walked through in the meantime, and the compressed snow beneath the footprints turned to ice. A little treacherous, and quite a bit of bumpety-bump.

I enjoy riding bicycles all over -- city streets, suburbia, rural roads, gravel roads, dirt roads, rail-trails, and singletrack. I love exploring the countryside and finding the interesting and historical treasures hidden in plain sight. You can follow my rides on Strava.
