Morristown, Missouri once stood here. The town existed from 1858 to the 1870s, and the Civil War Battle of Morristown took place in 1861 (see <a href="http://www.casscountyhistoricalsociety.org/images/diorama.jpg">diorama</a> and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrYGMK8NpFA&feature=channel_page">video</a>).
