I purchased this bike used in March 2008, and rode it intensively throughout the rest of the year on paved roads, gravel roads, and singletrack trail. This bike was my re-introduction to upright bicycles after several years of riding recumbents.

Surly Long Haul Trucker
Surly Long Haul TruckerI purchased this bike new in early 2009. It is a steel touring bike that can handle nearly any type of riding surface, from paved roads to gravel roads to dirt roads to smooth singletrack, all while carrying a load. I plan to use it for club rides, cross-state tours, and off-road touring adventures.

My recumbents:

  • Burley Django – A short wheelbase recumbent, purchased used in July 2006
  • Sun EZ-Sport – A long wheelbase recumbent, purchased new in September 2004
