2010-02-03 - Baruch HaShem Jewish-Christian Synagogue

A plaque on the building says that this is the New Hope Baptist Church, built in 1960 after a tornado destroyed the original structure. It is now home to the Baruch HaShem Jewish-Christian Synagogue. The very concept seems strange to me, but it’s apparently “a synagogue in which Jewish people can come to know Jesus”, with a connection to the Southern Baptist movement.

About DirtBum

I enjoy riding bicycles all over -- city streets, suburbia, rural roads, gravel roads, dirt roads, rail-trails, and singletrack. I love exploring the countryside and finding the interesting and historical treasures hidden in plain site.
